at the Las Vegas IDEX Show!

We had 18 artists on display showing all kinds of various ways we can be creative in our artform!  We also sponsored the workshop titled "Get Hooked on Thread Art Bears" lead by one of our founding members, Debi McCarthy-Beckett!  It was a wonderful success and experience for all!

2008 Thread Artist Guild Award Winner Announced!

Congratulations go to Paula McHenry for her creation "Caterpillar's Very First Try".  Runner-Up and Winner of the Miniature Category went to  Suzanne Scholtze for her entry "Caught Ye".  Congratulations!

Challenges

Our last challenge was "Jungle".

Members partaking in the challenge made creations of items that appear "in the jungle".  Our previous challenge was "Santa's Toy Shoppe".

Thread Artist Publications

Has one of our members had an article written about them or had a creation shown in a printed magazine?  This is where you will find out.

Congratulations to Chantel Giroux, Anita Schaeder, and Marge Wiese for being pictured in the Nov/Dec 2008 Issue of Teddy Bear & Friends magazine.

Flyte, Quinn and Clarence make an appearance on Page 10 of the March/April 2008 issue of Teddy Bear & Friends.  Congrats again to Mary Robinson

Mary Robinson also has another creation, Blitz, appearing in the February 2008 issue of Teddy Bear Scene.

A little bunny named Flyte is in the January 2008 Issue of Teddy Bear Scene.  Congrats Mary Robinson!

In the January 2008 issue of Teddy Bears & Friends are 2 lovely tiger creations by Marianne Alexander.  Congrats Marianne!

Candi, Mary Robinson's little micro bear, appears in the pages of Teddy Bear Scene's December 2007 issue.  Yay Mary!

Marion Fraile's "Christopher"appears in the December issue of Teddy Bear Review on page 43. WTG Marion!

Ferdinand makes an appearance on the front cover of Teddys Kreativ in the August 2007 issue and there's also a wonderful article about Marion Fraile and how she does her bears.  She also has Candace appearing in Teddy Bear Scene's  August 2007 issue.  WTG Marion!

WTG Ladies!!  Gayle Brindley, Marion Fraile and Mary Robinson all have bears and friends appearing in the Teddy Bears & Friends July/August 2007 Issue.  Debi McCarthy's class being held at IDEX was also part of another article!

April's 2007 issue of Teddy Bear Scene magazine brings us another appearance by Mary Robinson.  Congrats, Mary!

2008 Golden Teddy Award Nomination goes to Patricia Knight for her kitty named Ginger.  WTG Patricia!

2008 TOBY Industry Choice Award was won by Marge Wiese for her creation Princess Calli.  Congrats Marge!!

2007 TOBY Award - Nontraditional Materials went to Marion Fraile for her "Matilda".  WTG Marion!  "Matilda has also won the "People's Choice" TOBY Award too!
